The Wedding Breakfast location that Jodie and Stevie had chosen was the Hotel L'Horizon in St. Brelades Bay.

Anna, the hotel's conference and banqueting manager had done a great job in helping with the organisation of the day with several pre-wedding meetings during which a menu was chosen, seating plans discussed, wine selected, music organised etc. The service from the staff during the function was excellent and the food was superb.

Appleblossom Florists had designed some unique table decorations using Jodie's Cala Lily theme as well as creating a stunning display for the top table. In all there were 80 guests and the 'Crystal Room' had more than enough space to allow everyone to feel comfortable.
The speeches all seemed to go down well with a mixture a humour, anecdotes and sincerity. As expected both the bride and groom's mothers got tearful when they recieved their bouquets but the biggest tears came from Pat, the chief bridesmaid's mother who was presented with a bouquet for her fabulous efforts in organising Jodie's Hen weekend in France. At the end of the breakfast, all the ladies were presented with an exquisite hand made porcelain cala lily on a silver stem as a momento of the day.

These had been specially imported from Italy via the internet.
All that remained now was to cut the cake which had been created by Sasha from Creative Confections. It was three tier with three different fillings. banana cake, sponge and chocolate. The topping, which was of a Scottish groom and his bride was purchased over the internet from Paperlace in Scotland.

The presentation of the various courses was not rushed and there was plenty of space for guests to mingle and wander during the pauses. Being on the beach front many guests took advantage of the weather and caught some sun on the hotel balcony between courses, sipping champagne and enjoying the day. A pianist had been booked to tinkle the ivories during the course of the afternoon which added a pleasant ambience as people chatted. During the breakfast itself, the hotel played a couple of romantic cd's that Jodie had supplied on their in-house sound system. At about 7pm the room was vacated for an hour while the hotel staff got the room ready for the evening reception. They were very courteous, and ensured that anything left behind, from disposable cameras to favours was properly looked after. Everyone moved through to the main hotel bar area while the room was being prepared or went outside to enjoy the evening sun.
