Peace and Tranquility

For those on a short break or longer holiday, Jersey is an ideal destination for countless activities.

The climate is often warmer and sunnier than mainland Britain, allowing visitors the opportunity to take advantage of a myriad of outdoor activities and pursuits.

Grosnez

Golf, walking, cycling, sailing, fishing, bird-watching and watersports. A year round programme of natural festivals, guided walks and cycle tours satisfies the most voracious of nature lovers.

You can listen to the music of birdsong before breakfast in a gentle woodland stroll or explore dramatic coastal cliffs and gullies.

There are also numerous "Sites of Special Interest" in Jersey. These are areas protected under the law for their ecological, architectural or cultural value.

Bouley Bay Cliffpath WalkFor the more enthusiastic walkers amongst you, there are dozens of fabulous 'cliffpath' walks along Jersey's north coast. Our favourite has to be the walk from Bonne Nuit Bay to Bouley Bay.

A breathtaking stretch of coastline which allows the walker to totally immerse themselves in the peace and tranquility of this beautiful vista.

The walk can be arduous at times but there are numerous strategically placed seating areas along the way in order for you to recoup energy. Sitting peacefully as the sea air cools you down and the sound of the waves lapping at the granite cliff base below submerges you in relaxation.

Another popular area for walks and picnics is the stunning Queens Valley in the east of the island. A beautiful stretch of water surrounded by carefully landscaped woodland. A real retreat for those seeking a place to relax and enjoy nature.
